- Description: The hiatus between LB-085 and LB-086 lasted too long. We hope that this modest saison helps rediscover the magic. Careful it could be another sneaky bastard?

After all these weeks would we have the audacity to think that we could produce a tasty beer? Uh, yes we did.

We may have needed to relearn some lessons from the past; however, there have been fewer teams with more perseverance or obstinacy than the Luddites.

On brew day we far exceeded our original gravity target and on the fermentation side we met our terminal gravity goal. So, what started as a nice 6% saison morphed into an 8.3% sneaky bastard (aka saluad sournois).

This brew continues our experiments with Lallemand dry yeasts. In this instance we combined Philly Sour to drive down the pH and then followed with Belle Saison to bring out the classic fruit and pepper notes associated with the style.
